Geo is a British singer-songwriter whose work spans folk, soul, and R&B. Described as having "complete originality", Geo’s music has captured live audiences across some of the most notable and historical venues in the UK, Europe, and the United States. These include London's Union Chapel, Glasgow's King Tut's Wah Wah Hut, Los Angeles' Genghis Cohen, and Brussels' Ancienne Belgique. Geo notably toured as the special guest alongside Australian blues-rock band The Teskey Brothers on their Europe/UK Half Mile Harvest tour. Other appearances include Opry City Stage in New York's Times Square, BBC Introducing Live at Tobacco Dock, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and International Women's Day at Stratford Circus. She has also toured the UK with Jazz and Caribbean music legends, including Michael ‘Bammi’ Rose (Paul Simon, Jools Holland, Cymande), Alan Weekes (Art Blakey, Sugar Minott), and Kenrick Rowe (PJ Harvey, The Specials).
Geo’s latest single is Love Don’t Lie, an R&B/soul tune with an Afro flavour that sees her command with ultimate subtlety and sincerity. Love Don’t Lie signposts an antidote to the pressures of the 21st century, suggesting spiritual solace from expectation and ideas of ‘success’. The song is produced by 2x Grammy-nominated producer John Saxon (Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Keith Richards, George Clinton) and features performances from the late Reuben ‘Dr. Sleepy’ White (congas), and Steve Marshall (bass, guitar, synths, drums).
“Geo is making something new, original, and special which is always a challenge. I hear complete originality.”
- Chris Kimsey (The Rolling Stones, Jimmy Cliff, Peter Tosh, B.B King)
